No. 06 · Colombia Dark Roast

Om kaffen

This coffee is smooth, creamy and a real treat for all espresso lovers. It is dark and has a fruity sweetness and a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. The creamy espresso has a lovely balanced acidity that goes well with the individual shot, the cortado or with a portion of milk for a latte.

Colombia is one of the countries with the greatest range of coffee flavors. They have everything from heavy cocoa flavors to light floral and acidic coffee flavors. Common to all of them is a balanced and fruity flavor. Colombia is the world's 3rd largest coffee producer and it is grown on small farms on mountain slopes at around 1,500 m.

About Supremo

Supremo Colombian coffee is a quality designation for the largest and best coffee beans grown in Colombia. Coffee labeled "Supremo" specifically refers to beans that are larger than the standard beans found on the market. This designation is used to indicate that the coffee is of high quality with a more complex flavor profile. Supremo coffee is known for its round flavor, well-balanced acidity and full body, with notes of fruit, chocolate and a slightly floral aroma. The large beans classified as Supremo are carefully selected to ensure a uniform and high quality, making this coffee popular with coffee lovers looking for a pure and harmonious taste experience.

About the cultivation and processing -

Over the years, quality has improved at Hacienda La Veracruz, thanks to the optimization of their processing process. The initial steps involve coffee pickers selecting the most ripe coffee berries from the trees. The berries then flow through a tank of water to separate the good from the bad. The berries at the top are used as soil fertilizer, and the good berries are sorted by size before being pulped, allowing for even removal of the berry husk using depulping machines and natural spring water. The wet parchment is then mechanically dried and stored in 40 kg jute bags in a clear room to maintain its physical and intrinsic properties. The pulp water is disinfected and used for plants that absorb high levels of CO2. Hacienda La Veracruz has 4C and CAFE practice certifications.

About our choice of coffee beans

Coffee is at the heart of everything we do at EverBean. It is the driving force behind our commitment to equipment, service and guidance in coffee brewing. We value the quality of the coffee's raw materials, as that is what ends up in your cup. At EverBean, our primary focus is to ensure quality in every cup. We import carefully selected coffee beans from the world's best sources to ensure the ultimate taste experience."

The continents

No matter which coffee farm we get the beans from, you can always find information about the origin, the farm they are grown on, the process the beans have gone through and the history behind the producer. For us, it would be anything but the truth if we took all the credit for the beautiful taste experiences in the cups.

Our coffee selection covers most of the world and we never take home a coffee we don't like just to make money. We stand behind our work and taste.

Sometimes we take home very exclusive beans in smaller portions than the "normal" roasts we have. We do this to be able to offer you something completely unique and expand our knowledge at the same time.

YOUR choice, YOUR taste

Whether it's on a trip abroad, a conversation with a random person, or through our regular partners around the world, we always take the best green beans home and roast them at our own roastery.

Wherever the beans come from, we give them the utmost respect and care, as we know how much they have been through to get to your cup. You can always ask about our coffee, its origin and the process. Or you can read much more about the journey of a coffee bean on our blog.
